I think that the sites listed listed below (with hyperlinks) are a great resource for mystery writers (and readers). I’ll add more over time, and feel free to shoot me a note with recommendations if you have a favorite link you’d like to see added to this inventory!
Jane Friedman – I find myself poking around this website even if I don’t have a specific question. It’s clean, easy to navigate, and I always come away better for having spent time here.
Janet Rudolph / Mystery Readers International – Janet is a fantastic person, and this is a great site! She continues to be a font of information for mystery writers and readers alike. Here you’ll find the Mystery Readers Journal, her Mystery Fanfare Blog, and a link to Janet’s other page, Dying For Chocolate (SO fun!). Plus, more, more, more!
Stop, You’re Killing Me! – I couldn’t describe this Anthony Award winning website any better than they do themselves: “Stop, Youβre Killing Me! is a resource for lovers of mystery, crime, thriller, spy, and suspense books. We list over 5,100 authors, with chronological lists of their books (over 59,000 titles), both series (6,100+) and non-series. Use the alphabetical author and character links… (at the top of the page) …or the special indexes in the left column. And itβs perfectly fine with us if you print our pages for your private use, especially for a trip to your local library or bookstore.“
Dru’s Book Musings – Dru keeps a wonderful site and blog. She loves mystery novels and mystery writers, and she does so much to help readers find their fun thing to read. Plus, it’s been my privilege to spend a little time chatting with Dru at various Left Coast Crime conferences, so I can say with absolute certainly that she’s also a real sweetie!
